How To Set up a Crypto Currency Trading Account (Step-by-step Guide)
Instructions to set up crypto Trading Account
(Read entire guide first before proceeding!)
1. Register at coinbase using the link below:
https://www.coinbase.com/join/58d87a01b33c483018fc587e **
Coinbase will act as your online wallet for Bitcoins and will allow you to buy or sell them. Bitcoins are the standard of currency for cryptos.
(Use above reference link, Deposit $100 or more in Coinbase and get $10 worth of bitcoin free!!)
2. Register a payment method on Coinbase.
You will need to register either a bank account or a credit/debit card in order to buy crypto currency.
Using a Bank Account: This method takes longer to register, as they have to deposit 2 small amounts in your account first in order to verify your account. This method also incurs a wait time to receive the crypto currency purchased (up to 1 week). The fees with this method are lower though, so if you aren't in a rush to receive the crypto currencies this is the way to go.
Using a credit/debit card: This method is usually much quicker to register. This method also allows you to receive crypto currencies you buy instantly. The fees are higher with this method though, and sometimes your bank will flag your card due to unusual activity (A call to your bank straightens this out fairly quickly). Use this method if you want to get right into the action.
3. Buy bitcoin on coinbase
4. Register at Poloniex using the link below:
https://poloniex.com
Poloniex is the actual brokerage you will use to trade cryptocurrencies.
5. Transfer money from Coinbase to Poloniex.
Once your poloniex account is set up, go to:
https://poloniex.com/balances
Then in the list find BTC. on that specific row, click Deposit. A prompt will expand explaining to only send Bitcoin to this address. Click "Deposit Address". Copy the ENTIRE CODE. (MAKE SURE ITS THE RIGHT ROW AND MAKE SURE YOU COPY THE CODE ENTIRELY OR YOU WILL LOSE YOUR BITCOIN IN CYBERSPACE)
Now go back to Coinbase using the link below
https://www.coinbase.com/send
PASTE ENTIRE CODE into the recipient box, then choose the amount to send (click use max to just send the entire amount if you wish)
Sending can take some time anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour, check this link to see the progress of transfer:
https://poloniex.com/depositHistory
Don't fret if your deposit isn't showing yet, sometimes it can take 5-10 minutes to register the transaction in their database.
Once its done sending your account is funded and you will now be able to trade cryptos on Poloniex!

**PROTIP: If you are buying Crypto Currency specifically to trade on the exchange, then buy Litecoin. The fees to transfer to Poloniex is only a penny, and it usually transfers quicker than Bitcoin. Once you have Litecoin in Poloniex, you can just sell it on the exchange so you then have Bitcoin!
